Scott Gildea
As a counselor to individuals and companies ranging from sole proprietors to multinational corporations, Scott has developed and applied entrepreneurial insights and marketing expertise to the traditional standards of public accounting. He is known for his application of an aggressive approach to a thorough understanding of taxation, financial and audit matters relating to client concerns. Scott is the founding partner of Gildea & Ivanis LLP. His audit, tax and consulting experience come from many years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. During this tenure at PwC, his client responsibilities were concentrated in the entrepreneurial environment. Since founding Gildea & Ivanis, a significant investment of time has been devoted to the development of a larger practice committed to a value-added service provided to entrepreneurial, high net worth clients. Scott received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Hofstra University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Maria Ivanis
Maria is a partner and one of the founding members of Gildea & Ivanis LLP. She has over twenty five years of public accounting experience and spent many years with large regional accounting firms in New York and California prior to forming Gildea & Ivanis LLP. She counsels privately held business owners and individuals in all aspects of business and personal financial planning, including financial reporting, tax planning and compliance, projections, and employee benefit plans, to name a few. Maria recieved a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Adelphi University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Rory Gildea
Rory has been with the firm since 2006. He works primarily with small businesses and entrepreneurs, although he is always up for new challenges. Rory has focused on the growing tech sector in New York, and has advised countless startups to help guide them through maturity. He has acted as CFO, controller, advisor, tax expert, and strategist for his clients over the years. His experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and raising capital add significant value to the companies he works with. Rory received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Marist College. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Professional Staff
Our professional staff has experience in all areas of accounting, with individuals specializing in tax, auditing, business management, financial reporting, and bookkeeping. Members of the professional staff work closely with each other and the partners to deliver high quality work to our clients. Staff professionals have experience with both large and small accounting firms as well as various private industries from coast to coast. Members of the professional staff are expected to take it personally and treat the client’s money as if it was their own. They are encouraged to develop strong relationships with our clients in order to develop a strategy and fulfill their needs. We are constantly evolving, looking for innovation, never saying “we can’t do that”. Our goal is to deliver the highest measure of professional competence and personal service to our clients. Our staff is also encouraged to be active participants in the community. We have staff members who donate their time and tax services to charitable organizations in addition to being involved in the operations of non-profit organizations.
